Scookiepad Setup: No Fluff, Just Done

I installed Scookiepad on three different machines last month. Two of them failed at Step 4. Not because the tool is broken.

Because the setup skips what actually matters.

Step 1: Unzip the file. It arrives as .zip or .rar. Windows built-in extractor usually works.

But if you get a blank folder or an error, grab 7-Zip. It’s free. It doesn’t lie to you.

Step 2: Move the folder. Not into Mods. Not into Documents.

Not inside another folder called “Tools” unless you made it yourself. Put it somewhere you’ll remember (Desktop,) or a Sims Tools folder you create outside the game directory. This isn’t optional.

Scookiepad reads from your Mods folder. It does not live there.

Step 3: Run it. Double-click Scookiepad.exe. Windows will yell at you. macOS will too.

Click “More Info” then “Open Anyway”. You’re not installing malware. You’re opening a local app.

Step 4: Point it to your Sims 4 Documents folder. This is where people stall. The wizard asks for one path only: your main Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder.
